Although the specifics of the small business world do interest him, he much prefers enjoying the finer things in life! During the business week, Sailor can be found exploring the Transworld offices looking for snacks and pets, but he truly lives for his weekends where he can almost always be found outside. Ali Elman is the Director of Operations for Transworld Business Advisors - Colorado.
She is a hospitality-industry-driven entrepreneur with more than ten years of experience in business consulting as well as developing, funding, opening, and operating many of her own concepts. In her prior career, as the Founder of Return to Lovely Hospitality, her approach to all endeavors has been to see hospitality as a “kind act” and an opportunity to make a human connection in a positive way. It is this innovative attention to detail that Ali brings to her role with Transworld, along with her operational experience that allows her to continually improve behind-the-scenes processes and logistics so Transworld can focus on best-serving clients.
Ali graduated from the University of California with a Business Marketing degree in 2004 and moved to New York where she worked in estate management and was able to hone her business intuition. This experience led her to establish many of her own companies in the coffee, bar/restaurant, and nail industries which she was able to scale to multiple locations due to her successful business models. After selling her most recent venture, Black Eye Coffee, Ali was able to bring her small business focus to Transworld. Brandon was born in the great state of Colorado, but soon thereafter moved with his family to New Jersey where he spent most of his life on the east coast. Susan Peterson joined Transworld as Sales and Marketing Coordinator in February 2022. She supports the sales team, VP of Operations and Sales Directors.
Susan has a long history in conference planning and hotel management. After taking time off to raise two now competent and independent teenage girls with her husband, she rejoined the workforce in 2015. In her most recent role, Susan worked as a Virtual Business Assistant with Mod Assistants. This provided her the opportunity to work with TransWorld brokers prior to joining the organization. She is excited to now be a full-time member of this dynamic team.

Matthew Stengel attended the University of Colorado, earning his degree at the LEEDS School of Business. He joined as Marketing Manager in March of 2022.
He’s been in the software industry for most of his career, working on a number of traditional and digital marketing initiatives in the B2B space. Growing up, his parents owned their own business and he naturally adopted an ever-growing curiosity for Colorado’s small business landscape. When he’s not working, he enjoys mountain biking, exploring the Rocky Mountains in his Jeep, cooking new recipes or watching his favorite basketball and soccer teams.
