Business Description

Up for sale is a revolving Japanese sushi bar. Established in April of 2009, this popular local favorite operates in a major shopping center in Northwest Houston. The restaurant is known for its unique and simple concept of being a self-serve sushi bar with varieties of dishes on a conveyor belt for you to choose and a robotic server to bring your special orders to your table. Customers can easily select and pick up dishes of their choice from the moving belt, or order special items not on the belt, which are delivered directly to the table by a robotic server. The restaurant has attracted many repeat customers from nearby offices and local residents.

The professionally designed restaurant spans 4,580 square feet and includes an additional 1,000 square feet of outdoor patio space. Over $800,000 was invested in leasehold improvements, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) at the time of build-out.

The restaurant has been profitable since its establishment in 2009. While revenue and profitability were impacted by road constructions in front of the restaurant from 2022 to 2025, the business still generated $1,100,055 in revenue in 2024, with Seller’s Discretionary Earnings (SDE) of $220,361 and EBITDA of $155,361.

The current owner acquired the restaurant in October 2025 as an additional investment alongside his primary healthcare business after relocating to Houston for family reasons. Shortly after the acquisition, the business was adversely affected by a government shutdown, resulting in no profitability during the remaining two and a half months of ownership in 2025.

Because the restaurant was operated by two different owners during that year, a full-year 2025 financial statement is not available. However, total gross revenue for 2025 was $1,048,764. According to the previous owner, the business generated approximately $150,000 in SDE ($90,000 in EBITDA) prior to the sale in mid-October 2025.

Currently, the restaurant is operating at break-even, with no net profit.

As the current owner’s healthcare business in another state is scheduled to expand in 2026, it no longer makes economic sense for him to retain the restaurant. Accordingly, he has decided to sell the business and relocate to focus on his primary operations. The business is currently run with minimal owner supervision.

This represents a rare opportunity to acquire a high-revenue restaurant in the area at a significantly reduced price.
