Originally from the Twin Cities, Roger attended Bethel College, (now Bethel University), in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Currently, he lives in Thornton, Colorado.
We have used Transworld to help with selling our business in 2017. Although it took longer than we would have liked, the transaction process was very seamless and thorough. It was our impression that both us, the sellers, as well as the buyer, felt the entire procedure was very much done by the books and conducted in a professional manner. Our consultant, Roger, was very knowledgeable in commercial sales so that made us feel very confident in the abilities of this firm. If we ever have another business to sell, Transworld will be our go-to channel.

I'm writing not only to express my satisfaction with Transworld, but - more importantly - to recommend our specific broker, Roger Smolik. My partner and I sold our digital marketing business, GoEdison, thanks in large part to Roger's expertise. Roger knew all the ins-and-outs of the process and he knew how to navigate them in a way that was easy for us to digest while remaining comfortable until close. Roger not only has all the technical skills to steer your business's process, but he has great instincts and ability with all the social dynamics that are inevitable as you navigate the responses that come through the network. Roger set up the meetings and was always there to keep things on-pace and on-point during the various phone calls and meetings. I can't stress enough how important it is to have a broker with sharp social skills; it's difficult to imagine a broker being better in this department than Roger. Also, Roger's work ethic is on a different level. Despite a number of unforeseen things that came up, Roger would find a way to make everything happen and keep momentum from the beginning of our process until close. Last, Roger's negotiating skills are very good. I learned so much from this process, which was associated in large part with the fact that Roger was our broker. Roger's the complete package. I feel privileged to have experienced this business sale with Roger in our corner. I will DEFINITELY be contacting Roger in the future when we need a broker again or know someone else who needs a broker. If you're looking for a broker, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not contact Roger.

I can't say enough about Roger Smolik at Transworld Business Advisors. Roger helped get our company acquired in four months, start to finish. More so, Roger accurately directed us each step of the way. His expertise when it comes to acquisition deals is second to none. His ability to lead us (the sellers), and direct buyers down the funnel to get to the final stages and create win/wins for everyone is top-notch. After the close our buyer quoted "Your broker in the early phases really made us feel comfortable and gave us confidence in this deal." I recommend Roger Smolik to anyone looking to buy or sell a business that wants expert help when getting an acquisition deal done.
